Arts A La Carte - How did you get involved with Independent Films? Tell us about your experience and what you've done so far?

J. Michael Whalen – It all started when I was in high school when I experimented with my parent’s Super 8mm film in a Bell and Howell camera. The first time I saw what I had shot projected on a wall, I was immediately hooked. Thereafter, I went on to Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated with a BFA in Film/Video Production. At the time, the idea of shooting a film meant actually shooting on film.
